In the U.S., 13 people die each day waiting for an organ transplant. April is Donate Life month, a time to raise awareness for the life-saving impact of organ and tissue donation.

This April, Dr. Matthew Wilkinson, a transplant surgeon at Saint Luke’s, joins KCTV to discuss the far-reaching need for organ donation in the country, myths associated with organ and tissue donation, and how individuals can help by signing up to be a donor.
