Kansas City Business Journal: Saint Luke's-BJC Merger Promotes Local Leaders to Executive Team

Saint Luke’s Health System and St. Louis’s BJC HealthCare officially merged, and three local leaders were added to the combined system’s leadership team.

Saint Luke's President Julie Quirin will remain in her role with a slight title adjustment. Within the combined BJC Health System, she will be president of BJC’s western region, which consists of Saint Luke’s.

She stepped up as president after being promoted to the position from chief operating officer in October. In her 25 years with Saint Luke’s, Quirin has had numerous roles, including CEO at two Saint Luke’s hospitals and senior vice president of hospital operations.

Former senior vice president and CFO with Saint Luke’s, Chuck Robb now is CFO of BJC Health System. In his role, he will oversee finances for BJC’s operations in St. Louis and southern Illinois and Saint Luke’s hospital systems that serve patients in Kansas City, northwest Missouri and eastern Kansas.

Robb has dedicated 33 years to the Kansas City health system, including previously working as CFO of Saint Luke’s Kansas City hospital.

Rebecca  Sesler, who was Saint Luke’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer, now will be BJC Health System’s chief marketing and communications officer. Before, Sesler spent 12 years leading marketing at Saint Luke’s.
