Frequently asked questions
Do I need an appointment?
No—walk-ins are welcome during operating hours. However, there may be unusually busy times when the walk-in clinic is full and cannot accept additional patients for that day. In those times, we will help you find the next best care option.
Should I visit a walk-in clinic instead of the Emergency Department?
For non-life-threatening bone, joint, muscle, or sports-related injuries, our walk-in clinic can provide specialized care with less wait time than the Emergency Department.
How long will my visit take?
Most walk-in clinic visits take 45–60 minutes, including check-in. The first hour after opening is our busiest time of day; early afternoons are typically quieter if you have flexibility.
Do you offer X-rays on-site?
Yes. We offer on-site imaging to quickly diagnose orthopedic injuries and create a treatment plan during your visit.
What happens if I need surgery?
We offer comprehensive care for orthopedic injuries and conditions, including several non-surgical treatments. If surgery is recommended, we will coordinate your care with one of our orthopedic surgeons and guide you every step of the way.
Can I come in for joint pain not caused by an injury?
Yes. We evaluate many causes of joint pain, including arthritis, overuse, and inflammation.
What insurance do you accept?
We accept most major insurance plans, including Medicare. Bring your insurance card and our team will verify your coverage at check-in.
Is parking available?
Yes—free parking is available in the main lot adjacent to Entrance G at Saint Luke’s East Hospital. Free valet parking is also available at Entrance G.
