Advanced Practice Provider/Graduate Nursing Student Clinical Placement

Beginning June 1, 2026, Saint Luke's will be moving to a new platform, Clinical Student, to collect onboarding documents. If you are not familiar with Clinical Student, please contact [email protected] or Mohammed Habib [email protected] and they will walk you through the process, cost, and answer any questions you may have.

Saint Luke’s is committed to on-going professional growth of its employees and community. We offer preceptorships to the following individuals:

Advanced practice students
Graduate nursing students

Due to the multitude of requests we receive, please review our application process:

Applications from Saint Luke’s employees and Saint Luke's College of Health Sciences students will take first priority. Employee applicants must provide their employee ID number, position, school, and manager on the application.
For applicants who are not employed by the Saint Luke’s, we extend an invitation for application to students attending the following schools:
- Graceland University
- Kansas State University
- Maryville University
- Rockhurst University
- Saint Louis University
- Saint Luke’s College of Health Sciences
- Stephens College
- University of Missouri–Kansas City
- University of Kansas Medical Center
- University of Missouri
- University of Central Missouri
- Walden University
- Washburn University
The application will be open during the following time periods:
- To apply for the fall semester, the application will be open from March 1 to 31. You'll be notified of match or no match by April 30.
- To apply for the spring semester, the application will be open from July 1 to 31. You'll be notified of match or no match by August 30.
- To apply for the summer semester, the application will be open from November 1 to 30. You'll be notified of match or no match by December 30.
Submit only one application per semester. Multiple applications will be rejected.
Students may only have one Saint Luke’s preceptorship/shadowing per semester.
