Biography

Anthony Magalski, M.D., is a Board Certified Cardiologist with Saint Luke's Cardiovascular Consultants and is on staff at Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute in Kansas City, Missouri.  He is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine.

Dr. Magalski was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He received his M.D. degree at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, and completed his Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He is board certified in Cardiology, Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant, and Echocardiography. His cardiology sub-specialties include the care of those patients with congenital heart disease, heart failure, heart transplantation, and athletes with cardiovascular issues.

Dr. Magalski is involved in multiple clinical research trials and has published numerous professional journal articles pertaining to his areas of clinical interest. He has been involved in evaluating athletes at the professional, collegiate, and high school level and as the Medical Director for the Athletic Heart Clinic at Saint Luke’s, spearheads the athletic heart examinations for University of Kansas Athletic Department and local community. One of his beliefs related to the practice of medicine is "to treat everyone like a VIP."  He serves as the Program Director for the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Fellowship at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine.

Dr. Magalski joined the practice in 1996. He was awarded the Cardiovascular Fellowship Teaching Award in 2010.
