Application Requirements

Saint Luke’s Hospital will manage the application process for its pharmacy residency programs through ASHP’s PhORCAS (Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application) process.

Required application materials will include:

  • Completed residency application
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Three completed reference forms (only the first three references submitted will be reviewed)
  • College transcripts

Please see PhORCAS for due date for all materials.

All completed applications will be reviewed and the most qualified candidates will be extended interviews in late January and February.

Missouri Pharmacy Licensure with Medication Therapy Certificate required for applicants that match.

Staffing & Holiday Requirements

PGY1:

  • 1 evening IV room shift every 6th weeknight
  • Every other weekend
  • 2 holidays: 1 major and 1 minor

PGY2:

  • Every 3rd weekend
  • 2 holidays: 1 major and 1 minor

All residents receive a compensatory day off following a worked weekend.

Benefits

Residents receive a stipend and are offered the same health system benefits as full-time employees of Saint Luke's Health System, including medical, vision, and dental insurance.

Leave:

  • Residents earn approximately eight hours of paid time off (PTO) each pay period (every two weeks), which amounts to about three weeks.
  • PTO may be used for:
    • Holidays you do not work
    • Vacation
    • Time off for interviews
  • Sick Leave (to be used in accordance with hospital policy)
