Garnett, Kansas – Anderson County Emergency Medical Services (EMS), a department of Anderson County Hospital, was recently awarded two grants totaling $6,500 to go toward replacement of the department’s sports utility vehicle (SUV).

Multiple hospitals earned high marks as Healthcare Equality Leader and High Performer designations.

As a winner of the Press Ganey HX Guardian of Excellence Award®, Hedrick is in the top 5% of healthcare providers nationwide in delivering rehabilitation services in the last year.

Cassie Jaynes, a physical therapist III at Hedrick Medical, was presented with the award at a ceremony held in her honor on February 21.

Students already enrolled in or admitted to a degree program in a health care field are eligible for the scholarship.

Dr. Mathis is accepting new patients of all ages and has special interests in pediatrics, women’s health, in-office procedures, and sports medicine.

Hamilton has been serving in this role in an interim capacity since August 2023, leading the day-to-day operations of the two North Central Missouri hospitals.

This award recognizes hospitals for their efforts toward care excellence for suspected non ST-elevation acute coronary syndrome care excellence.

As of January 1, 2024, Hedrick Medical Center entered into new contract with the emergency medicine physicians providing care in the hospital’s emergency department.

Samantha has served as the Residential Living Center’s assistant director of nursing since June 2023 and interim nursing director since July.
