The CDC released new information on how the coronavirus spreads, stating the virus does not live on surfaces as long as previously believed.

The virus spreads primarily from person-to-person but is "not so easily spread" in other ways like touching surfaces.

FOX4 talked to Dr. Sarah Boyd, Director of Infectious Evidence-Based Practice at Saint Luke's, about how handwashing, face masks, and social distancing are still the best ways to help prevent the spread of the virus.
