KMBC: Kansas City Doctors Talk About Guns Being the Leading Cause of Death for US Children

New data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that guns are the leading cause of death for children. More children are dying from guns than from car accidents in America.

Kansas and Missouri are among the worst states in the country for firearm deaths. Of the 50 states, Kansas is fifth-worst in the nation. Missouri is ninth.

KMBC spoke to a trauma surgeon at Saint Luke's about the new data.
