Jani Johnson, RN, MSN, serves as president of Saint Luke’s Central Region, a role that includes leadership and oversight of Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City—the flagship hospital of the West Region of BJC Health System; Saint Luke’s Hospital Crittenton Children’s Center; Saint Luke’s Bishop Spencer Place; and Saint Luke’s research and medical education programs. Jani began her career with Saint Luke’s in 1985 as a staff nurse at Saint Luke’s Hospital. Prior to her current position, Jani served in numerous roles of increasing leadership responsibility, including CEO of Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City; president and CEO of Saint Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas; and vice president of cardiovascular services for Saint Luke’s. As a health care executive who began her career on the front lines of patient care, Jani focuses on a mission-driven approach to leadership.

She received her nursing degree from Methodist School of Nursing in Omaha, Nebraska, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Webster University, and her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Jani has served on the board of directors for the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, the Kansas Hospital Association, and LifeFlight Eagle.
