Thoracic Radiologist, Kansas City, MO

Saint Luke’s Hospital, a 600 bed, regional tertiary hospital is seeking a board certified, fellowship-trained thoracic radiologist to join a successful and well-established program at the beautiful Plaza district in Kansas City. Saint Luke’s Hospital is the flagship of the Saint Luke’s Health System, a not-for-profit, locally owned and operated system, consisting of 11 hospitals and many physician practices in the Kansas City metropolitan area and surrounding region.

Features of our practice include state of the art digital facilities with GE and Philips MRI (five total including one 3 T and four .5 T) GE CT (six total including five 64 slice, and one 32 slice), PET/CT, and ultrasound. The thoracic imaging section receives referrals from Pulmonary Medicine, Thoracic Oncology, and Cardiothoracic Surgery as well as two busy emergency departments and inpatient services. Clinical responsibilities include radiography, CT, MRI, and PET/CT.  Although a private practice, there is the opportunity to practice subspecialty thoracic imaging and participate in the multispecialty thoracic clinic. A partnership with an independent teleradiology service provides interpretive services after 6 p.m. during the week and after 3 p.m. on weekends.

Saint Luke’s Hospital is a part of the University of Missouri-Kansas City radiology residency and teaching responsibilities are required. The subspecialty based practice models allows for close to 100 percent dedicated time.
