General Anesthesiologist ICU, Kansas City, MO

The Department of Anesthesiology at Saint Luke’s Hospital (SLH)/University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine seeks a BC/BE anesthesiologist at the Assistant Professor or higher level to join our General Anesthesiology/CCM section at SLH. SLH has a 140-year history as the most trusted healthcare system in the Kansas City area, is a Becker’s 100 Best Hospital, and is rated as a top tier Academic Medical Center by Vizient.

Prospective candidates must have either 1-3 years of dedicated experience in general anesthesiology and ICU medicine, and/or be in the process of, or recently graduated from, both accredited and approved ACGME anesthesiology residency and CCM fellowship programs. The Department staffs exclusively with fellowship-trained intensivists 24/7 at the Marion Bloch Neuroscience Center’s 18-bed ICU, the 28-bed Mid America Heart Institute (MAHI) of SLH’s CVICU, and collaboratively with other intensivists to help manage patients in the hospital’s Med/Surg Trauma and Cardiology ICUs.

Faculty will divide their efforts between the Main OR, which covers General, Robotics, Ortho, ENT, Urology, Neurosurgery, L&D, and OOOR procedures, and the Neuroscience ICU (primary ICU responsibility). Scholarship and academic efforts focused on our residency program are an important component of faculty efforts and expectations. Research involvement with members of the Outcomes/Research Division of MAHI is available and encouraged.
