Anesthesiologist/Critical Care Medicine Physician, Kansas City MO
The Department of Anesthesiology at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City (SLH) and University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine seeks a BC/BE anesthesiologist at the Instructor/Assistant/Associate Professor level to join our Anesthesiology/Critical Care Medicine (CCM) section at SLH.
Prospective candidates must have either 1-3 years of dedicated experience in anesthesiology and CCM, and/or be in the process of, or recently graduated from a CCM fellowship program. SLH is one of Becker’s Healthcare's “100 Great Hospitals in America,” and includes the renowned Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute (MAHI) and the Saint Luke’s Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute (SLMBNI). SLH is the flagship facility for Saint Luke’s Health System.
SLH is the primary training site for the Anesthesiology Residency Program of the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine.The location staffs the 18-bed Neuroscience ICU and 28-bed CVICU 24/7, as well as the hospital’s Med/Sur/Trauma and Cardiology ICU on nights and weekends, with 12 fellowship trained intensivists and over 24 CCM advanced practice providers. Faculty will divide their efforts between the Main OR arena (General/Neurosurgery/Orthopedic/ENT/Urology/OOOR) and Neuroscience ICU as their primary CCM site. Involvement in teaching our residents is an essential component of each faculty member’s responsibilities. Research involvement with members of the Outcomes/Research Division of MAHI and the SLMBNI is available and strongly encouraged.
