Leavenworth Times: A Century of Life and Still Going Strong

Juanita Gnip has been a valuable volunteer at Saint Luke's Cushing Hospital for more than 50 years.

In April 2018, she celebrated a major milestone in her life... her 100th birthday. Juanita began volunteer work at Cushing back in 1979 as the hospital's patient coordinator. She now works three days a week in volunteer services.

"Juanita has had a profound influence on our patients, staff and other volunteers," said Bobby Olm-Shipman, the CEO of Saint Luke's Cushing Hospital. "We are enormously grateful for the compassion and kindness she shares with our patients and families. Always helpful and cheerful, Juanita is one of the reasons Saint Luke's Cushing Hospital is a great place to get care."
