KMBC: Saint Luke's Emergency Doctor Urges People to Not Use the ER for Flu, COVID, or RSV Testing

So far this year, Saint Luke's is seeing the highest number of respiratory virus testing that Saint Luke's has seen in at least 5 years.

Dr. Marc Larsen, Saint Luke's Emergency Physician, urges people to use Saint Luke's Same Day Care options, which include Video Visit On-Demand, Convenient Care or Walk-In Clinics, and for severe flu-like symptoms, Urgent Care. The in-person options will be able to test for COVID-19, Influenza, and RSV.  If you struggle to breathe, begin to dehydrate from vomiting, or become confused, that's when it's time to go to the emergency department of your nearest hospital.
