KMBC: Kansas City woman finds relief for chronic low back pain with implant procedure

A Kansas City woman with debilitating back pain found relief without painkillers.

A few months ago, Linda Sand's chronic back pain became debilitating. She tried numerous treatments but was determined not to become dependent on painkillers. That's when she turned to Saint Luke's for a minimally invasive procedure called Vertiflex. 

KMBC talked to Dr. Jeffrey Foster at Saint Luke's Hospital Pain Management Clinic about the innovative procedure and how advancing technology is leading to more effective methods of pain relief.
