We've all heard that mothers' milk is best for babies. Saint Luke's Heart of America Mothers' Milk Bank, one of only 19 HMBANA approved milk banks in North America and the only one in Missouri, was featured in an article in The Kansas City Star about donor human breast milk and its benefits for babies. Dr. Barbara Carr, neonatologist with Pediatrix for Saint Luke's Hospital, shares why the milk bank is valuable for premature babies in Kansas, Missouri, and for NICUs across the nation.
