Hedrick Medical Center welcomes Bob Gaekwad, M.D., to the medical staff
Hedrick Medical Center is pleased to welcome general surgeon, Bob Gaekwad, M.D., to the medical team. Dr. Gaekwad will be joining Andrew Johnson, M.D., in providing general surgery services to the region. He will begin treating patients at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe towards the end of July. Dr. Gaekwad will also be joining Dr. Johnson in providing surgical care at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton and Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield.
Prior to joining Hedrick, Dr. Gaekwad earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr. Gaekwad most recently practiced at Samaritan Albany Surgical Associates in Albany, OR, where he has been since 2006. He is a member of the American Board of Surgery, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

He and Dr. Johnson bring years of combined experience and knowledge to our patients, which will serve to enhance health care in this region.”
Dr. Gaekwad has two sons who both currently attend Oregon State University. He enjoys golfing, cooking, reading, and traveling.
