Health News You Can Use: Opioid-Related Deaths on the Rise and Alternative Pain Treatments

Drug overdose deaths, primarily from opioids, are hitting record numbers in the U.S. Data from the National Center for Health Statistics shows that from October 2019 to October 2020, there was a 30% increase in deaths from overdoses.

We’re talking to Dr. Jeffrey Foster, interventional pain physician at Saint Luke's, about why overdose deaths are on the rise, a new program that will help physicians treat patients, signs of addiction, and alternative pain treatment options for those with chronic pain.
