FOX4: Pregnancy-Related Deaths Highest Among Black, Brown Women Since Start of Pandemic

New studies by The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say pregnancy-related deaths in the United States climbed higher in the first year of the pandemic. Maternal mortality is the highest in Black and Brown women.
FOX4 talked to Dr. Karen Florio, maternal-fetal medicine specialist at Saint Luke's and the Missouri Pregnancy-Associated Mortality Review Committee Chair, about what factors led to the increase.
