KSHB: Kansas City Woman Starts Fund for Metastatic Breast Cancer Research

A local woman battling breast cancer is on a mission to help others by raising money for metastatic breast cancer research.

Brooke Harris was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer in 2017 and started the Brooke Strong Fund shortly after.

KSHB talked to Dr. Tim Pluard, medical director of Saint Luke's Koontz Center for Advanced Breast Cancer and of Saint Luke's Cancer Institute, about how research is advancing treatment and leading to improved outcomes for women with metastatic breast cancer, like Brooke.


Brooke shares why she started the Brooke Strong Fund.
