The nationally prominent Saint Luke’s Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute (SLMBNI) is seeking a fellowship trained neurosurgeon in functional neurosurgery from a prestigious institution to join the comprehensive neuroscience program at Saint Luke’s Hospital, a 600-bed, regional tertiary hospital located in the beautiful Country Club Plaza district in Kansas City. It is the flagship hospital of locally owned and operated Saint Luke’s Health System, which is comprised of 10 leading hospitals in the Kansas City area.
Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City (SLH) is a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 1 Trauma Center. SLH and SLMBNI is supported by an 18-bed neuro-intensive care unit with 24/7 intensivist coverage.
SLMBNI has recruited and developed a team of exceptionally trained neurosurgeons, movement disorder neurologists, epileptologists, anesthesiology pain physicians, and PM&R pain physicians with the goal of creating one of the finest functional neurosurgery programs in the country. The providers participate in weekly multidisciplinary case conferences as well as collaborate on evidence-based practice initiatives to enhance the management and care of patients. All of the neurosurgeons in the practice are fellowship trained with subspecialty interests in spine, skull base and functional neurosurgery. Academic appointments are available at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine and there are excellent opportunities for research and publication.
