A local 23-year-old woman has a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. Sophie Hardin suffered a severe brain bleed while at a Kansas City Royals game in August.

Thanks to the quick actions of the team at Saint Luke's Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute and Saint Luke's Hospital, she is alive today and doing well.

KSHB talked to Sophie and Dr. Andrew Schlachter, medical director of the Neurosciences ICU, about the young woman's incredible recovery.
